Snow in Wellington, New Zealand!

These photos were taken early this morning outside our home in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.  This is our first time to see snow in Lower Hutt area since we moved here in 2002.  It was reported that a polar blast has hit much of the country overnight with freezing temperatures bringing snowfalls.

It feels like we are on a holiday home. :)

Wish it would snow here on the South Coast of Welly! I grew up in the UK and never will forget the magic of silent snow fall in the night & pulling back the curtains to a white winter wonderland!

Great pics!

I was amazed to see snow all along the Wainuiomata Hill firebreaks. It was slowing lightly as I arrived at work in Waterloo this morning. What great pics!
